Anxietyitis

So today I was almost decapitated on 75 South. I noticed a ladder in the road a couple lanes to my right and was thankful it wasn't in my way. Before I had time to blink an eye a whirling piece of metal was headed straight towards my windsheld and my beloved head. I screamed and put my arm over my face instinctively but I was lucky enough that it hit my hood and bounced over my car. Probably one of the top 5 scariest things that have ever happened to me. I'm paranoid enough as it is...so now the powers that be think its funny to take worry-free commuting away from me. Thanks world. Didn't do too much damage to my car..wish I could say the same for my anxiety:

On another note...instead of studying for my 2nd social theory exam I wish I could be watching these:...These are the newest additions I haven't been able to watch yet...One positive thing that the suburbs have done for me...tripled my VHS collection. Thanks 30189.

Also......I actually made a friend in my cognitive sociology class and today we food fantasized via doodling. My ginormous sub sandwich trumped his measley quesadilla. I win. Thanks Dr. LaRossa.

And in other news.......Had lunch with Ashley on Monday at El Myr (I was going through withdrawls)...and we bonded over the fact that Walgreens is our favorite store. I didn't realize Ashley and the seasonal aisle had the power to get me excited about Easter. We unanimously decided that an Easter egg hunt should take place this year. Can't wait. Thanks Grandma tendencies.

The Future is Bright

So I went to advisement today and I bumped into my urban sociology professor----he said I made a 100 on my exam!!!!!!!!! So excited! My advisement went great---he was able to move some classes around so I have 5 left after this semester----I'm taking one maymester course...2 summer...so I'll have 2 left for fall and then I'll be graduated! The downside: I have to start studying for the GRE...which is the equivalent to the SATs but for graduate school. I also have to start making appointments with my professors to receive letters of recommendation. My advisor said I'll be able to start graduate school in the fall of 2010...then onto my PhD. I can't believe I have 6 more years of school...

Degrassi Meltdown

Someone stop me. Please. TV addiction is a serious issue chaffing my studying habits right now. My mom and stepdad are out of town for the weekend--and I'm watching the dogs...too much time to catch up on a lifetime free of fake drama that I hope to never endure. This is the reason I've always denied myself shows like "Lost" or "24"----so my eyeballz wouldn't melt. Look at me.....blogging on the couch watching my 2nd Degrassi marathon. I hope the power goes out.

Suburban Home

So I moved to Woodstock. My job wasn't paying the bills, crime sucks in Atlanta, and I wanted to be able to focus 110% on school my last year...now that I'm all grown up it seemed to be the right time to move "home"!!! The first week was kind of rocky---my mom and I got into a couple heated arguments...but everything is awesome now. I wake up between 6am-8am to a fresh pot of coffee and 3 awesome dogs to hang out with. I don't have to worry about bills, grocery shopping, bug infestations, noisy neighbors, or someone stealing my car. The only downside is the traffic on my morning commute to school---but my ipod and coffee keep me sane. School is going great and hopefully I'll be out in the fall!
Proof of the suburbs being awesome:
